The Lee Highway Corridor Sewer Expansion Project is a multi-phase project that will bring much-needed sewer treatment capacity to the west-central portion of Washington County. The project is funded by USDA Rural Development, Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, Washington County and WCSA, and was designed by Thompson & Litton.
The initial “backbone” project will include four sewer pumping stations, approximately 41,220 linear feet of sewer force main line, 32,221 linear feet of gravity sewer line and 150 sewer manholes. Construction is anticipated to begin in November 2023. Bids were received on Aug. 8, 2023.
