Each class is billed separately, once a month. Each MXU in a class is programmed to transmit a signal when that class is to be billed; it will not transmit a signal until the next scheduled billing for that class.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>Class One<\/strong>\u00a0extends from Virginia Highlands Airport to Abingdon High School. This class requires 200-300 miles of driving (approximately 13 hours) to collect\u00a0readings. There are 5,325 customers in Class One. These meters are read around the fourth week of each month.\u00a0Class 1 is billed the first week of the month.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Class Two<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>extends from Abingdon High School to Meadowview, Emory, Glade Spring and Poor Valley. This class requires\u00a0300 miles of driving (approximately 14 hours) to collect readings. There are 4,063 customers in Class Two. These meters are read around the first week of each month.\u00a0<span>Class 2 is billed the second week of the month.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Class Three<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>extends\u00a0from the Smyth County line to Mill Creek, Friendship, all of Lee Highway\u00a0to the intersection of Highway 58, and from Highway 58 to Damascus, Taylors Valley and Wideners Valley. This class requires\u00a0350 miles of driving (approximately 14 hours) to collect\u00a0readings. There are 3,364 customers in Class Three. These meters\u00a0are read around the second week of each month.\u00a0<span>Class 3 is billed the third week of the month.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Class Four<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>extends\u00a0from Watauga Road to Highway 75, all of the South Holston Lake area, Denton Valley, Alvarado, Green Springs Road, Cleveland Road and Cummings Street to Interstate 81. This class requires\u00a0200 miles of driving (approximately 10 hours)\u00a0to collect readings. There are 2,405 customers in Class Four. These\u00a0meters are read around the second week of each month.\u00a0<span>Class 4 is billed the third week of the month.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Class Five<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>extends\u00a0from\u00a0Virginia Highlands Airport to John Battle High School, Wyndale Road to Industrial Park Road, all of Gate City Highway and Reedy Creek Road.\u00a0This class requires\u00a0250 miles of driving (approximately 10 hours) to collect\u00a0readings.\u00a0There are 2,622 customers in Class Five. These meters\u00a0are read around the third week of each month.\u00a0<span>Class 5 is billed the fourth week of the month.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Class Six<\/strong><span>\u00a0<\/span>extends\u00a0from John Battle High School to\u00a0Clear Creek Road, Wallace Pike and all of Benhams Road. Class Six also includes areas of Bristol, such as King Mill Pike, High Point, Sinking Creek and\u00a0Old Jonesboro Road. This class requires\u00a0250 miles of driving (approximately\u00a0nine hours) to collect readings. There are 2,369 customers in Class Six.
